As well as working with children for many years, Melanie has a love of animals, having rescued several pets over the years and she has also helped to raise funds for selected animal charities with the Association of Animal Artists, of which she is a member..
Melanie has always been creative starting from school age and pottery, which was chosen to be exhibited locally.
When her children were small she often crafted alongside them, inviting neighbours children to join in. Now having more time Melanie has developed her love for watercolour, recently winning an award with International Watercolour Masters 2026 exhibition.
